Artist Statement

 My Passion

is to create images that impress, delight,  puzzle or  evoke any emotion besides indifference. Recycling materials, some common-place others unusual, to add texture and dimension, I throw, spray, brush, sponge and use my hands and other techniques to apply color and structure to my paintings.

The Forces of Nature

are my inspiration, with viewers often asking themselves, "How did she do that?" To continue to create and explore new techniques and a constantly changing repertoire of materials drives me to dive beyond the realm of normality into ever expansive domains of the heart and soul.

For our clients in East Texas, keep an eye out at Bernard's Restaurant in Tyler, TX for artwork by Dana.  In the next few months Dana will be installing art in the bar area and painting a mural on the outer walls.  We are excited about this opportunity and hope all of our clients will visit Bernards to enjoy the wonderful food, service and atmosphere.
